I purchased two chocolate Orpington chickens at a sale I was paying one girl while another put the two chickens in a box. I picked the chickens I wanted, but was not given the two I chose. After I left the sale I went to see my son he wanted to see the chickens. He noticed on one hen there was a ban. The ban was so tight it had to be cut off. Of course it bled and we quickly medicated the foot. The hen is now limping badly the leg is twice it's normal size compared to the other leg. She has taken to eating my eggs and have removed her from the group of hens put her with a hen that turned out to be a rooster. The leg is healed now but she still limps badly and is half the size of her sister and bony and thin. I am really concerned about her will she ever get to normal size? I know she will probably always limp. Is this why she took to eating egg's? Will she remain skinny and thin?
