Amaya lifted off silently and circled around the den, pinpointing the location of the vole. It was eating a seed new one of the corners. She banked sharply and swooped down onto the vole, closing her talons around it and crushing it. She flew to a nearby tree to eat it. "Thanks Sanga" She said.

Amaya nodded greatfully and flew down in the nest beside Sanga.
 
Thalassa opened up her eyes, breaking her camouflage against the tree. She stretched, preened, and descended to a lower branch to see what was going on.
