Okay y'all. Thanks for all your replies.

I wanted to update you.

Kane finally stopped vomiting. He just ate 2 cupfuls of boiled chicken and rice. Hoping it stays down.

I was so worried about him last night I was in tears. This dog is my child.

Talked to the vet this morning. Kane has an appointment tomorrow to get the foot checked, if the vomiting stays gone; otherwise I'm going to have to figure out how to get him out there today. The vet is an hours drive away and I myself am having a flare of my celiac, so....

We did learn one thing from this incident. We've been debating on whether it was time to start leaving the boys crates open at night, since they never get into anything anyhow. Last night the crates were left open, despite DH's misgivings about where Kane would puke. As far as I was concerned, him puking anywhere was better than in vomiting in his crate and having to lay in it all night long. I won this battle (and the one about the armadillo, but that's a whole 'nother story). Kane slept by my side of the bed all night.

I'll update y'all after he's been to the vet.
