Kane is hurt! Vet appt. made

You know, I always thought the sorter legs on the sire was from the camera perspective, or something.

Yup, definitely a Tonka Toy build!

You know, I still think Kane is going to be bigger than Ziggy (their sire). Built more like the grandsire, Xuck. (Have I already shown you this?):

As we are not interested in showing or competition, we just want two solid built dogs. Ziggy is old now and probably heavier than he should be, but there's nothing wrong with his get up and go.

This was a 50 lb AmStaff. Also know an agility golden retriever that had the same thing and did OK w/o surgery. I guess the tears weren't that bad.

Kat, just saw this. Wow, Kane is getting to be such a handsome guy! sorry he hurt himself. My old dog, Cody, tore his cruciate ligament and had to have an implant. It never really healed well, not for three years, so we had it removed and apparently, it did the job. He was fine after that till he died a few years ago at twelve years old.

Well DH did isolate the problem to his foot, not his leg. The pads aren't cut and there's nothing stuck between the toes, but it hurts him if we mess with it. If he's running he uses the foot, but standing still he holds it up.
It seems to be getting a little better each day. We're still giving him a dose of vetprofen daily.

We've made an appt. for Wednesday to get Kane seen at the vet in the city (the one with x-ray equipment).
The foot seemed to be getting better, but he's now limping on it again.
Would love to get him seen tomorrow, but I have my own "vet" appt. up north.
