I have 3 chickens.Gloria, Milly and Edwina.Gloria is a confused chicken and thinks she is human. She sits on my disabled daughter Carolines lap and wanders all round the house regularly. They have free run of the garden most of the day. My cat and kitten wander happily amongst them. I wish I'd got them years ago x I regularly scoop up poop but don't know where to dispose of it. What does everyone else do with it?

I compost, compost, COMPOST! We have two heaps---one for poop (goat, chicken and rabbit) and leaves and stuff that breaks down slowly and one for cow poop and yard grass and veggie waste that breaks down pretty quickly. You should see my garden!

Hello and welcome to BYC

We use chicken poop for compost too. It is very acid though, so if you need to neutralise it a bit, mix it with wood ash.

Aww, your chickens sound very precious!
We don't compost, but we do sometimes put some poop in the veggie garden if there's too much lying around.
