. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers today.

She is still under anesthesia and is resting comfortably on my side porch in a huge nest of hay. When she wakes up we will move her to the barn to a dry quiet stall and monitor her for at least 5 days. Stitches come out in 14 days. She is on pain meds today and maybe tomorrow. She is getting pen g each day for 5 days.

She should bounce back quickly and be fine soon.

Oh, I'm so sorry the baby didn't make it. I'm glad Cocoa is doing OK. We know you'll take fabulous care of her. So sorry.

When she developed a very healthy rumen and was so prominent we all thought she was bred before she was actually bred. When she was then turned out with all the other goats she actually was bred at that time.

There is no mystery to it. She didn't go too long or over a due date - the baby wasn't stuck in there for an extra month or anything like that.
