I'm still hoping for my eggs that are left. I'm giving them till Saturday evening then I'll start cracking eggs (gently) and examining them. I've got to sterilize my 'bator for the next lockdown on Wednesday. *chuckles* I'm glad to see your 'bator is as messy as mine is!

Yeah, I feel like I'm trying to breathe thru a hot wet blanket. Hardly any need to keep water in the channels of the incubator.

Congrats on your babies scbatz! I would have hoped for a much better result too, but the good thing is you got all the lavs I would have expected from that # of eggs. My babies are hatching and should kick in full swing tonight. I had 5 early birds and the rest seem to be pretty much on schedule so hoping for good results. I have jubilees hatching too. So exciting!

70 out of 75 of my lav orp eggs hatched. Still waiting on the last 5, but not sure if they'll hatch or not. I know I added a few a day later, but I'm not sure if these are the ones as I forgot to mark them. So happy with the results. 19 lav chicks and 51 black, which gave me 27% lav ratio.
