Katie starts her show career with a BANG!

This puppy has one rose ear and one button ear. The rose ear is on the left. In the Rottweiler we want a button ear like on the right, with the edge of the ear tightly against the cheek. The taping you see prevents the ear from breaking and going rose. Once teething is done, the cartilege will become strong again, the ear will lay properly, and no more taping will be needed.

I wasn't suggesting to do something different than you already are doing with Katie. I was just commenting that there are different ways of getting the same effect. She's a pretty girl. I always find it interesting that there are so many ways to "skin a cat" when it comes to a goal with dogs. Be it training, grooming, conditioning, feeding...thats one of the things I love about dogs, so many ways to do just about anything.
