This spring I want to build a covered run big enough for 10 and maybe get a rare breed roo to cover my girls for some more valuable hatching eggs.

If you put a rare breed cock over different breed hens the chicks won’t sell for much. Get a Legbar or Ameraucana cock that way all chicks will be first generation Easter Eggers.
