Well, my uncle came by just because- he looked at my chickens and stuff. Then he saw her and said “Kayla, this hen looks old and her egg sack seems to have dropped” this tends to happen to older hens (in his experience). He said she should be fine, but likely wouldn’t lay or laying might cause damage. He said the best thing to do was to sell her on Friday, but also leaving a note so the new owners won’t be as disappointed as I am.
Mom (after finding that out) won’t allow me to keep her.

Of course I really don’t know what he meant by “egg sack dropped”, but her bottom does look swollen. She isn’t in any obvious pain or anything. I’ll be sad to see her go.
