Electrical hazard? IDK, I've just heard that your not supposed to use extension cords with appliances and bators and stuff.

Well, bottoms up! I'm off to find an extension cord. I don't really have a choice.

Actually it's easier for the fire safety folks to say don't rather than explain amp draw, heat load etc. Simple rule of thumb is to use one that is equal to or greater in wire size to the actual cord.

My cord is super thin, so finding a greater sized extension should be easy.
