Well they are my only large fowl, so I'm not sure about other breeds. In general though they are pretty nice with the cockerel being a total sweetheart.

4 chicks so far! Having incubator problems again. They're getting glued into their shells. I've never had bearded chicks before so i was pretty freaked out when i saw this one with a saggy chin this black guy almost died. He was c[vered in goop laying on his back in the incu he seemed really weak and his leg was shaking so i took him out and put him in the brooder. Which instantly dried the goop sticking his legs to his wings and his eyes shut. I went to assist an egg that was dry and partially zipped. When i got back to the brooder this guy had push away from the light and was cold and limp i tried holding him closer to the light in the brooder but it wasnt working fast enough for me so i got a container of lukewarm water and gave him a bath washed a lot of the goop and shell fragments off and set up a heating pad instead of the light bulb he's alert and happy now.
