I've never hatched d'Uccles, but I've still had bad luck with them. There was Dolly (died younger) Toddle, (died as a chick from a leg deformity) a whole batch of roos (we got scammed) Puppy, (randomly disappeared, still a mystery to this day) and Holly, (died as a chick the night after we got her as a chick).
Lolly, who was in the same order as Holly, survived and is now laying (a young girl, got her somewhere around last summer) and Polly, who I've had for a longer while and is still alive!

But LOL Lolly's comb is big and red, even though she's a girl (she's laying)
Your boy's comb looks tiny, then again he's younger.
But he is totally adorable!

His comb is much larger now :)
He is chilling on my lap
