To do that you should invest in the best stock you can find and afford.
 
I surrender. I locked my girls in today. No more outside time until the snow starts to melt AND the stupid predators find something else to eat or STARVE.

I had 23 chickens at the start of 2018. Now I have 16. :he

Awww :love have you considered putting a heat-lamp out there? Or do they already have one?
 
I rly want to cull all but my old hen and disabled hen, and start ALL OVER with blue egg layers and Marans. I need a new egg basket. And the people want colored eggs faster than I can supply.

Eggs in general, actually. I now have another person who refuses to eat store bought eggs :lau
