Should I try again with shipped D'Uccle eggs? I revisited the site of the breeder I bought from last time and rate went up by $10 for 4 fewer eggs :hmm The last time I bought from them I hatched 5/12 chicks and all died of a mysterious illness within about 6 days.

I really need to bring in new blood/pullets (and keep an extra male on hand) for my bro to work with after I leave. My parents don't really don't approve of me purchasing more eggs but I'm allowed to hatch anything Tunisia lays. So I'm thinking of waiting until she starts to lay then place an order and discreetly add the purchased eggs to hers.

Thoughts?

I say dont
try to find some breeder near you and get your parents to drive you to pick up eggs/chicks and incubate/raise them at home

I wouldn’t buy from that breeder again. It could have been a fluke but it could be his flock has a terminal disease.
Look on Poultry Show Central for Belgian Bearded D’Uccle breeders and buy some pullets to add new blood to your flock.

That's a good point. Especially because this year (the following year) his prices went up for fewer eggs. Leads me to believe that maybe he lost some birds.

I’ve never bought shipped eggs but if you really need the eggs to develope and hatch I would source from a breeder within driving distance.
I believe mypetchicken sells Belgian Bearded D’Uccle hatching eggs.
