What is chick grit for anyways? Chicks don't need grit until they get older.

It all depends on what you plan on feeding them. If all you're feeding is starter crumble then you're right. If feeding them a whole grain chick starter or giving them random treats it's best to give it to them. Early and often.

Not better, not worse. I made them leave her alone, she’s not going to be culled (if I have anything to do with it) as long as she’s eating and drinking. She walks really slow, but that’s to be expected.
