Yesterday I removed our longest/lowest roost in my chicken coop because the gals kept slamming into it when they jumped down from the higher ones.
Soooo much more space in the coop, it's glorious. However, my old heavy gal can't reach the higher roosts so we'll be building her a little ladder along one side wall so she can get up and I can still have space in the coop.
