I wish I could, but I'll be in MO for university.

I'm down to 17 embryos but I'm not mad because the Porcelains are doing great and I rly want those Porcelains.

Ok,... Compost bin chick story... It was day 25, I candled the quitters and didn't see any signs of life. So I tossed the quitters into the compost bin and moved the chicks to the brooder. Thankfully I didn't get around to unplugging the bator. About an hour later I hear chirping. All the chicks are a 1/4 mile away in the barn???? So I go in search of said chirping and land at the compost bin. Open the lid and there's a wet RIW chick standing in there chirping it's head off. So in the bator she went. She's one of my breeder girls today.

It’s been a year since I rescued Jane & Charlotte!

I'm thinking I should set 12 eggs next time. Thoughts? I'm selling half of the chicks hatched from that set to hopefully lower the number of males that I have to deal with.
