I only let mine do that if I'm getting chicks that need raising, hopefully by a hen. I've got 2 that went broody two days ago, they are now roomies in the broody buster. They are NOT pleased.

It's going good, it's been pretty hot today though. We had heatwave advisories, so not much got done outside.

I had a nice chat on the phone with the breeder of my O Shamo today. I'm getting more eggs, not 100% sure what yet.
Wife approved by the way. :gigI'm not sure Howe much of my thread you've read, but that's not always the case.
