We can as many apples and pears as we can before everyone eats them all. It's nothing for one of my siblings to eat 10 apples in a day!

Is that not a LOT of apples in 1 day for 1 person, or is it just me???
I have an old crab apple tree, a couple of young pear trees and a really young peach tree. A couple weeks ago, I made crab apple Jelly and crab apple sauce. This weekend, I was trying to do canned pears and pear preserves. I used all the over ripe pears in the preserves. I need one more zucchini to ripen to try your pickle recipe. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be doing tomatoes.

Sounds great! We've been trying for soo long to grow our own apple trees, pear trees, cherry trees, apricot trees, etc; and every year they die back! It's so frustrating! 
They're even ones rated for our climate and they still die back every year! 
Oh, and that zucchini pickle recipe is really good! I tested it out for you! The only thing is you might want to only put in half as much sugar as it calls for. It calls for a ridiculous amount of sugar, so I only put in half and they're still super tasty. They taste kinda like relish.

Today I'm going to find out wether or not I'm really getting my Khaki Campbell ducklings. I'm eagerly awaiting that email that says 30 ARE available and they're getting shipped out!

Okay well Momma is very sure that I can't look at her chicks so no idea how many she has. Found another shed eggshell today, so 1 more than yesterday.
She isn't vicious or whatever. Just strong warning pecks. I don't push it, because I don't want to risk her abandoning the chicks
I tested her mom skills this morning and gently placed one fluffed up chick about 4 feet from her and watched. Momma called incessantly and chick called back while waddling back to and under mom. So, mom does actually want these chicks
