We cooked a 2 year old tom today. And he came out fork tender, juicy and delicious.

Nikko, the dog in my avatar killed 2 of my uncle’s turkeys today. Nikko got a heck of an a** whooping! I protected him for the most part, he was just having fun.

Dogs do, what dogs do... My avatar would lay in the pasture and my turkey hens would come "groom" her. She was never fond of it and moved often, but never hurt one. Although I have to say they can run and fly very fast when she had enough and barked. The only time she ever tried to hurt a bird was when she thought it was hurting me.

Thankfully I had Todd on a leash today during our walk. We encountered 20-30 wild turkeys and he was all exited, "why weren't they in the pasture, must move them to pasture", at least I hope that's what he was thinking. He does fine in the pasture with the chickens, ducks and turkeys... although I think the female ducks annoy him with their incessant quacking.

Awwwww! I just love Todd! Nikko loves the chickens, but HATES turkeys and guineas!

Todd get's this look on his face when the ducks wander around him quacking, I think it is "will they ever shut up?" The drakes won't go near him but the ducks will gather around him and just quack at high volume.
