That's what they do. Only birds that don't are the meat birds. For them, if it lands on the ground it's just gone.

I'll spread a little on the ground about a foot in front of their shelter before I move them, and they'll all gather on that end so it's easy to move the shelter and they'll gobble away at it until I put the trough back in. Then it's the trough or nothing.

Todd wasn't really into the whole sleep in idea so at five he jumped into bed wanting his morning rub...

He's doing better everyday. He understands the leash and doesn't fight it, comes when called. Pigs are still an issue though. He's getting more comfortable and confident in his new home. The biggest test will be when let him out to patrol the first time.
