Okay, I’m here to break this dry spell while we wait on the young uns.

I’m anxiously awaiting being able to hatch my own and I’ve been reading about it. Imagine that. Annnyway, what kind of special nutrition am I supposed to provide the hens so there’s no vitamin/mineral deficiency in the chicks? To be specific riboflavin, pantothenic acid, B12, biotin, choline and manganese.

This inquiring mind wants to know. And thank you.

You're likely fine. The sustainable poultry network uses a special blend prior to mating and during the egg collection process, but it's a custom blend and not easily obtainable in small quantities. They use both a rooster booster and a hen booster. If you'd like the recipes pm me.

Is this your first hatch?
I like to leave them in the bator and move to brooder in groups of at least 2 as a lone chick is a noisy chick.

ETA: don't be mad you didn't get a vid.....hard to catch at the right time, plus sometimes it's good to just watch.

Not my first.... but I’ve never had a good hatch.

As for names:
The first chick is Napoleon


And the second is Dynamite
