Single tailed goldfish are a long term commitment living 10-30 years on average. Fancy goldfish in my experiences live 6-10, so a shorter commitment. They also don't get as big, but can have problems especially with the swim bladder because of their shortened bodies.

Yeah, that is a long time but it is kind of cool.

I never understood people swimming in the ocean. I guess you take your chances.

Yeah, scary, but apparently it's the first fatal shark attack in MA since 1936. There was another attack last month, an older man, but he punched it in the gills. Still in physical therapy/rehab though. That attack I guess was the first attack since 2012. Also there's only been 3 fatal attacks, now 4. The 1936 one and two in the late 1800s. So it's been a long time. They are usually rare. But the seal population has exploded in recent years and more and more sharks are moving in. It's sad cause the I think commissioner actually recently warned that something like this would happen. I think both were too far out though. This guy was way out there I think. Obviously not his fault he got attacked and sadly killed but should not have been so far out. There are a lot of surfers apparently. Him and his friend were on boogie boards. Which probably looks like a seal. I think he was 300 yards out. Only in his 20s.

Heck of a way to go. :th There was guy in Northern Wisconsin killed this past week. He worked at a lumber mill. He went in to unblock a clog in a debarking machine, the one with 6 inch tines that rip off the bark of logs. He got it unclogged, and it fired back up with him in it. Very sad, and horrible way to go. :(

OMG that is just awful! :( :hit :th

Now I am researching Schipperke and Keeshond lol I used to want a Schipperke forever ago but forgot about them. They seem like great little dogs. But I think they're too small. Keeshond are a little bigger but not crazy big and happy, fun loving, friendly, smart dogs and seem perfect. And more unique than a Golden. Can be barkers though which could be an issue. And the coat but supposedly it's only once a week brushing. And females only get to like 35 pounds and males 45, so much more managable than a 60 or 70 pound dog and they are literallt giant walking teddy bears LOL

BUT

These breeds are of course harder to find :/

I hate to say this but I am somewhat starting to resent Gator. Or at least maybe just dogged out this week because I have watched Libby every day twice a day this week and every day last week and twice a day then too or at least part of the week, this week is twice a day every day, but he is so BAD and it's frustrating me to the point that I literally just cried to my mom about how awful he is lmao idk, maybe I am just tired. I haven't gotten that much sleep lately.

Gator sounds like a challenging dog, very much likes doing what he likes. That would frustrate me too. Some days some of my dogs frustrate me too.

My neighbors when I was a kid had a very fat elkhound. She was the friendliest dog. They fed her all their table scraps so she was a chunk. She was a nice dog. Keeshond are very furry. I don't know much about schipperkes except they are long lived and black.
