Now I'm confused. I've been playing for a long time and maybe I don't know the rules either.

The next person plays with the new word from above, (in this case it's "right", & adds a new word. the next player drops "right" & uses the newest word to add to. The order of the words doesn't matter. "Right" can be the first or second word. Example "right now" or "turn right".
I think I'm doing it right, now.
