keep your birds health ... Apple Cider Vinegar in the water

Up to 1 tablespoon per gallon works well. Do NOT use this in metal waterers as it will eat away the metal.

ETA:You can also do a weekly "dose" in a ttreat of layer feed and non fat plain yogurt. That way you know everybody got some because it won't take long to be eaten!

Sarjaysar, I saw you wrote you were going to buy mealworms. I raise mealworms for my chickens and my wildbirds. It's MUCH cheaper than buying them, and SO easy. If you, or anyone else is interested in how to raise them, let me know:)

How much ACV do you use in the weekly treat "dose"?

There are tons of links on here about ACV, the major rule of thumb is to use raw, unfiltered ACV with the MOTHER - it should state it on the bottle
Not sure what everyone else does, but I use two tablespoons per gallon of water every time I give them water.
