Keeping a chick solo

I can finally get a couple of day old chicks tomorrow when the store gets them in. I'm a bit worried though, are there likely to be problems mixing an unvaccinated two week old with vaccinated day old chicks?

The store finally got in some day olds, all hybrids. We picked an Australorp X and they seem to be getting on well. Stella has the occasional peck at the new chick's toes but she is not being all that aggressive and the new chick is eating and drinking heartily. Big sigh of relief!

hi Anigozanthos,
i have one chick, that's due to hatch this Friday, and he/she's also going to be a lonely chick (if it hatches)
i put 5 in my bator, 3 were never fertile, and the other one was about halfway through developing and quit so not i'll only have one lonely chick. but i'll put in a mirror, in the brooder with it!!-its a good idea that, i never thought of it before!!
