Hello people of Backyard Chickens. I have one elderly (>3 y.o.) quail hen, Tsapa, who is left after her flock-mates passed away. I can't continue the cycle of getting new quails, so Ill take care of Tsapa and that'll be that. My concern is that she seems lonely: isn't active, doesn't eat salad, spooks easily, and naps all day, after her best friend passed away a few days ago.
Is there anyway that I can give her social time with me as a replacement? What else can I do?
I tried bringing her inside to watch a movie with me (in the attached photo) but she wasn't a huge fan of Bruce Lee.
