My leghorn finally gave me an egg 2 days ago. They have been costing more than giving since early Nov., molting. I Heard if I put a hen in dark place, box, pet carrier, with just water, they will resume laying. Days are getting longer, snow melting, they are roaming all over....![]()

102 weeks?Im getting my semi free range pen thing ready for the knew to free raning chicks!! They be getting in there in the next 102 weeks!! Thye and I cant wait!!

LOL...im in South Africa...i have never seen snow or touched it!!! And it NEVER goes below 5 degrees celcius!! So i can have chicks the whole year round...lolYeah, I was thinking that if I had to wait that long, I would not want anyone to even tell me they were coming until a few weeks before.
Are you putting them in the pen when the snow "goes away"?
