My chickens have found my neighbors compost pile and have decided to take up residence at their house for most of the day and only come back to the coop to roost. Any suggestions on how to keep them on my side?

There is a reason for the saying "good fences make for good neighbors". If permanent fencing isn't feasible, poultry netting (electrified or not) is a fantastic tool for keeping 'em confined to an area of your choice. Whatever you do, act quickly. It's far more difficult to change bad habits once they are set.

Ask for deer netting at your hardware store. It's very inexpensive, easy to staple onto tree trunks if you don't have fence posts, and it comes in a roll 100' x 8'.

Why not rig your own compost pile? Compost piles are to chickens what playgrounds are to kids.
