I have 5 silkie chickens about 6 weeks old and I'm just wondering when I can keep them outside 24/7. Are they too young to keep outside? As of right now it is a low of 50°F at night and high of 80°F during the day.

The question is..do you have a secure coop for them?
I have a coop and surrounding fence that's enclosed. I would keep them in the chicken coop at night then let them roam in the small fence surrounding it during the day. It looks something like this:

Is it predator proof?
I guess you won't really know until you try it but...if you can post a few pictures we can give you some pointers as to whether it is or not.

You would hate putting your chicks out and have something kill them the first night.

They should be fine if they're fully feathered. Just make sure you have a secure coop. We let our chickens run around during the day and shut them in at night.

They are 6 weeks old... is that too young to be outside? They seem to be almost fully feathered.
