Keeping Chickens When You Have Arthritis.

Pics
I've been busy getting my shed in order. It has been such a mess over the last couple of years. I keep meaning to straighten it up, but before I know it the middle of summer is here and it's too hot to get out there and do it.

DH helped me put up a few shelves yesterday, and today I put up a few more. I have a lot of "little" stuff that needs to be up off the floor. I've got a few things shelved, but still have more to do. I'm hoping by the weekend I'll be finished.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter! :bun :jumpy

Hi all! I do not have arthritis but i do deal with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I have to fight through but a couple of days a week my husband has to do the chicken chores. He is also fond of them.

One of my biggest challenges is the muscles in my legs. They are uncooperative so when I sit on the ground i have trouble getting up. I find myself in this situation a few times a day. It's embarrassing and annoying but i won't let it stop me from communing with my chickens!

I agree about wood heat. I always need more heat than i get from the central air. Nice to "meet" you all!
Hi, I also have trouble getting up off the ground. Mine is a combination of arthritis and a previously dislocated hip. I bought this for my hubs to work on the cars, but I also use it to get close to the ground to plant and garden, as well as clean baseboards.

Those are great and easy to come by be hones had not thought of them ..
I sit on the floor to clean cat boxes twice a day I am anal retentive
and feel if I can still get off the floor I am alright
I like that they roll sideways as well as back and forth. I have bad arthritis in both wrists so getting up is pretty hard for me.

Mine are awful trying to grip or if someone tries to help taking my hand
May not be for public viewing my butt in the air but can get off the floor devil may.gif
