keeping chicks out of nesting boxes.

When I left the girls last night they were all in a row up on the highest roost. When I checked them in the morning they were all stuffed into 1 nesting box., even after taking out the pine shavings! Was it because I had left the windows open a touch?

If you don't have anyone laying yet, you may want to block off the nesting boxes until you do. another option, give them a box turned sideways on the floor in case they just wanted to snuggle up.
