keeping cornish crosses for layers?

This is great news. I was reading old posts this week and I thought about you and your cornish. You must have been reading my mind. Your girl in the picture is a beauty. She looks gorgeous. I'm sooooooooooo glad to hear that the remaining crosses are doing really well. I'm so excited for you. It's always nice to hear good news. Sounds like you're really taking care of them well. Keep'em grazing and they should do just fine. Thanks for the upate !!!

Mine died the other day at about 15 weeks - to hot I think it is 37+ degrees or 100+ here and it has been like this for 2 weeks now - she just went in the coop lied down and died - probaly her heart I would think cause she was walking around fine earlier in the day. never did get an egg from her.

. I am so sorry for your loss. The heat must have got to her. That's so sad.

Hi all!

I'm very intrigued too. Muell has not posted since the change over. I"m curious to know also.

NO one ever mentions how good these birds are for laying, though to incubate a double yolker is doomed to failure. May be using a three month rooster on another breed would work. Anyone try it?

My girls layed a few eggs a week. They are really not good layers.
