Hello everyone, just wondering if it is safe to keep different kinds of poultry under the same roof. Like is there certain aggressive breeds or diseases that I should worry about? For example, keeping chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and peafowl together in one large coop?

I find turkeys can be rough on other species and can even kill them, my turkeys are separate. I keep my chickens and muscovy ducks in the same shed, the ducks can be messy and create wet bedding. The others I don't know. I also keep my large breed chickens separately from my bantam chickens, though a few extra roosters stay in the same shed as the large fowl.

Yes, different fowl can be housed together with proper flock management and enough room taking into consideration of what each species needs and knowing the probable issues and doing your best to avoid those issues...

Like all animals sometimes you will encounter bad individuals that don't fit into a mixed community and thus can't be kept communal...
