My garden is surrounded with cattle panel, which allows me to use it as trellis. Then, during the growing season, I wrap it with the heavy duty deer netting which comes in 7' x 100' roll. You can cut the roll with scissors, yielding 200' x 3.5' fencing for very little money. With care, it will last several seasons.
You could simply use the deer netting without the CP. Fiberglass posts can be woven through it, with clothes pins to clip it at the top, and landscaping staples to hold it down at the bottom as needed. When installed this way, it's practically invisible.
