Hi there. I've been interested in pigeons for a while, but never had the opportunity to get any as I didn't have the facilities to do so. However, I recently built a fully enclosed coop and run for my chukar partridge, and I was curious as to whether or not pigeons could be kept with gamebirds. I currently only have Chukar (20 right now, but I'll be culling down to 4-6 breeders next week), but I hope to put in a pair of each Ringneck Pheasants and some kind of meat quail (possibly 2 pairs of the quail).

The pen itself is 20Lx12Wx6T or so, and the indoor area is 16x2 and maybe 3 feet tall (though it is shelf style, and so sits about 4 feet off the ground, 7 feet tall total).

I keep my pigeons with my coturnix quail, not sure about keeping them with pheasants and chukar but it might work, just make sure they have lots of places to roost up high. I have seen pheasants and pigeons kept in the same pen just never had any pheasants myself.

Just be careful when the pigeons are breeding because if pheasants are anything like chickens they might try to eat the eggs and baby pigeons! It could be a good idea to have separate enclosures for the pigeons when they are breeding, just to be safe.

The cage in front is where I sometimes put breeding pairs.

above poster is correct. Pheasants will try to eat the baby pigeons.

Also once the newly fledged young pigeons leave the nest and spend time on the ground learning to fly.. the pheasants will attack them.. and could even kill them.
