are there any specific things you have to do to keep feathers for long periods of time?
I find them in the yard all the time and they are to neat to waste!!!

I have a wild turkey feather, found it years ago. Did nothing special, just kept it from dirt or other pets.

Quote:to keep them the best, put them in a baggie or study container and put in the freezer. feathers will attract a mite that will eat the feather, freezing kills the mite.

I put a spoon of DE in the ziplock before throwing it in the freezer.
