I ordered a straight run of 10 EE's. Im assuming there will be 2 or three roos in there. I am planing on keeping only one rooster for breeding and culling the others. My question is will it be ok to eat the eggs with the rooster in there. I think it would be ok for us, but will they be ok to sell
otherwise can the rooster be kept separate until needed.

I always sell my eggs just fine, and I have a roo in with my girls. Some people ask if I have a roo and if I candle and I tell them yes and no, I gather the eggs several times a day and they go straight into the fridge. I've never had a problem with it. Others ask and just assume that you need a roo for the hens to lay eggs! lol

All the eggs I sell are fertilized. Not a problem. I don't make a point of telling folks that I have a roo, but he's a watch roo - always shows up when we have company. They see him, they know what a roo will do around hens. If they can't put two and two together than they are too young to be out driving around buying eggs.
