We have a 5 gallon galvanized waterer that is hard to get level sometimes when we move the tractor. We move it daily... and not all of our fields are level. Any suggestions? It is frustrating to go out and fill it up 3 or 4 times a day sometimes... it is so heavy & I have two toddlers to keep up with when I do it;) Surely there is an easier way:)

Honestly I doubt our tractor would support a 5 gallon waterer. I struggle to pick it up and carry it out to the tractor. We do have the food hung, but our tractor is 2"x2"s five foot in height & we have two 2"x2"s as support across the top (what we have the feeder hung from).

How many chickens do you have in the tractor? Maybe you could only put a couple gallons in it and then try hanging it. Easier to handle and less weight to hang.

One gallon weighs 8 pounds, so you are looking at 40 pounds there. Might be hard to hang, but I don't know how else you would do it if you have to move it everyday.
