keeping turkeys in LansingMichigan

My daughter is wondering if you can have pet turkeys in Lansing Michigan as well as chickens, also any good hatcheries close to Lansing for turkeys?

ALSO, my daughters chicken died last week, (her favorite pet) we would like to replace her with 2 new chicks, we would be putting them in with 3 full grown hens, is this a good idea or not? will the older hens mother the chicks or hurt them?
