I know that this is a longshot, but is it possible for two roosters to coexist that were NOT raised together? They are both the same age, and same size. One is in with the current flock and one is going to be added. They have about 140 square feet to roam. There are currently 6 hens in there also.

Six hens won't work out for the two roosters, even if they decide to coexist with each other.  The hens will be very unhappy and overbred.  mary

Alright. I figured that even though it was worth it to ask. And with 140 sq ft I don't know how many more hens I can add. I like to keep 15-20 sq ft per bird.

Even if they are raised together they may not get along....and yes 6 hens don't need 2 roosters.

Why do you want 2 roosters?

I recently had to move and cant keep chickens at my new house, so a friend said i could keep them in his coop. He already has a rooster but so do I. As far as the number of hens, he currently has 6 hens but i would be adding 5 of my own.
