Keeping WARM

it's getting down into the 30's here now, maybe colder, I know I woke up this morning, and there was ICE on the outside rim of our window, went out to feed, the chickens water, completly frozen, the rabbits water bottles, all completely and I mean COMPLETELY frozen nside, and the ducks pond and pool were both frozen over

. and everyone sleeps by the pond at night, al huddled together, the only time they really go into thier house is if it's real windy out.

Waterfowl are very winter hardy but should be enclosed at night to protect from predators.
They're not safe from predators even on a pond.
I've heard many stories from heartbroken owners who've left their birds out at night on ponds where they were killed by dogs or varmints.
As for cold hardiness, as long as they are well fed and have fresh water daily they will be fine.
See my websites photo galley for more waterfowl winter scenes.
