Keeping your chickens cool

I don't have pictures. I told my brother to do it, and he said it works (I'm not home right now)


Get one of the rolley coolers or whatever kind you have. Make a lid over it that has holes in it, we used hardware cloth held straight by a wood frame. Make a roost a LITTLE above it. During hot days, place it in the shade and fill the cooler with ice, ice packs. Whatever. It cools them. Our chicks just sit on the wire, and haven't tried it with my OEGB. Just thought I'd throw the idea out there

They can. We didn't have them on it long. You could use an old cookie sheet or plastic to cover it. We just dump out the water and rinse it out.
