Keet Chick Died

I got two eggs from a neighbor and incubated them both along with my Pekin Ducks, Chickens, and Geese. The first egg hatched two days ago, and this morning the keet was deceased. I had cared for it just like I do the chickens and ducklings...had it under a heat lamp in it's own area with water and food...it never got active and I never saw it eat or drink. The second egg is hatching RIGHT NOW and I would like to ensure I didn't do anything wrong last time...I'd like to avoid losing this second keet.

Any help?

Sometimes baby birds just die for no reason that you can determine. If you were caring for it the same way you care for your chickens, it was probably just one of those deaths that was out of your control. Sorry you lost one.
