Keets are almost six weeks

Or, maybe that's just my tendency to over-think everything ~'-)

JLeigh, my 2 birds do not free range either because we have to many hawks and they travel a little to far than I like them to. So I let them out in their 10 X 12 pen in the morning and they can scratched out there in the dirt and if the weather is cold or rainy they can go inside the pen and stay dry. I change out my chips about every 6 weeks, but I scoop poop every day under the roosts. It doesnt take much, only about a minute and it is good. It depends if they shake the dirt off inisde or outside when they dust bathe. They usually put all this dirt on them outside then go inside and shake it all off to make a mess for me. Then they get to running in and out and throw chips all over the place. They are very goofy birds. Mine are anyway.

LOL, I just don't think I could scoop poop every day, but I do it about once a week (or so). I have four guineas and so far, I'm positive two are female (Chocolates). Still not sure about the third Choc, or the one Buff. If I have two males/two females, and they all get along, I'll keep all four - - until Spring. LOL

I was thinking about that but it just has a top with chicken wire on it so there is not break for the weather if we have any and if it is windy there is no wind break it can go right in the top. I think I will just put them in the hen house and go from there. It is slightly bigger then the box so I think they should do fine. I am planning on doing it this weekend so I will let you know how it went.
I'm sure they will be fine... just be sure to keet proof the Hen house well (make sure there's nothing they can get stuck behind or any small openings for escape, use a waterer they can't get wet in, etc). Some keets will go above and beyond to find away to end their lives... I'd swear some actually hatch with a deathwish. Also the keets would most likely LOVE a mirror in there with them... it gives them the illusion that there are more keets with them and will comfort them in their new space. Good luck!

I meant on the *inside* of the hen house, if it can be made to fit in there ...

As I was doin' my typical over-thinking, my guineas took it upon themselves to knock the divider that I had between them and the chickens open. No harm, no fowl (pun intended), as none suffered any injury as they wandered between sides. So, I removed all dividers. And, now? The guineas are most often to the right, and the majority of the chickens to the left, as if some of both fear leaving so much as 'their spot' in their respective areas. Yet, even before this, I had one particular chicken that would hop in w/ the guineas every chance she got, and she's almost always pushin' her way between 'em to get to the feeder on their side, rather than the full one on her own ... see? I really do over-think things ~'-)
