I just put up Kencove poultry netting positive/negative. Tested energizer with fence tester, all good. How do I test the actual netting with the tester because it does not appear to be energized. I brush my hand against it in several places and no shock. Help!

I figured it out. No grounding rod needed as the fence is positive/negative. I hooked both alligator clips to the fence
.

Brush your hand against the hot wire and alternate ground wire in the fence.......I dare ya!

Or, if you are not that gullible, use your tester on the hot wire and alternate wire. I'm curious what you find.

Because it is a positive/negative fencing you do not need a ground rod. You connect the energizer red lead to red connection on fence and green one to green connection on fence. Working great all around at 6000 volts.
