Kenmore mini freez? (PIC HEAVY)

So I didn't want to spend much on this freez a bator but I was at petco and saw a Zilla heat controller and bought it. It is working great. Set 96 eggs last night! We will see in 3 days how it works. Some of the eggs are 3 weeks old but put them in anyway. Now... I ordered the wrong WW and can't buy them anywhere around here. Will the 4" little ones still work? Right now they are reading 98.8- 98.2 (I have 4 in there) So I bumped it up a tinnnnnnny bit. The air temps are 100.5- 99.6(5 in it)

I think it is your stat. I had the same problem when I made my first bator, a hot water stat just doesn't cut it.

As I write this post I am in the middle of my new build, a mini frig bator that will hold a 40 egg turner, and I am using a STC 1000, PID controller, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008KVCPH2/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

with a CPU fan to move the air. I will post some pics and facts as I get it done.

Good Luck, Phil

I have a small fridge that will be made into one if these, as soon as I can get the parts.

ETA: Does that temp controller work well?

just wired last night and turned it on 15 mins, ago. it is heating up the empty bator now. I will update as it comes together. my new cpu fan arrived in the mail today, I get alot of stuff from amazon, because we have "prime" which gives me free shipping on alot of stuff. the PID controller is used in home brew operations, were constant temp is as important as incubating.

Awesome

Pics pics pics hahaha. I wish I hade prime but I don't order enough to pay a fee. I think I will order one of those temp. controllers and install when this hatch is done. I have a few things I want to do still like make some trays. I am gonna candle a few tonight and see if im on track.

It is far from done. no fan, no water fill line, no secondary heat source. But I really like the re-purposed mini fridge, the inside is clean white plastic one piece shell, that will be easy to disinfect, the outside shell is thin powder coated steel, with all the fridge parts out it is very light, and super insulated with high density foam, pic one is the original orientation, I will use the back of the fridge as the bottom. and a 40 egg auto turner will fit nice. can't wait till I set a batch in my new bator. ( P.S. the controller reads C degrees only. 99.5 = 37.5 )
