I bought a couple of these.

I was wondering if I’d have to make the typical boxed kennel or can I attach them all together like a fence to attach to an existing fence to make the run. Anyone have experience with these?

Look small, something could reach in there too. Plus you would need to attach a skirt to avoid digging predators. No more than one chicken would fit in there comfortably anyway...

Assuming you can attach the panels together to make one big enclosure, I'd do that. You will need to further reinforce it to exclude small pests/predators by attaching hardware cloth or welded wire, no wider than 1/2" up at least the bottom few feet.
