First of all, I am not wanting to start a thread that bashes anyone so please let's keep this civil so I don't need to have it locked.
I only want people to know that I had some great news regarding the feed my girls get the most from. This is my opinion and you do not have to agree with me but hopefully some of you do!

Well, I just wanted to say, I have really missed Kent feed since TSC switched to Purina! In the area we live, TSC is about the only place to go for us. My girls hate it, TSC does not carry a high protein feed here, there is a lot of waste to it and my birds don't seem to get the nutrients they need. I NEVER had that problem with Kent and all of their feed was readily available but not any more or at least until today. I actually called them yesterday in hopes to get someone to carry it near us. Well, they called me today and I now have a new place to buy feed!! If you're like me and want to see Kent on the shelf, I highly recommend calling them, it was worth it.

ETA:

If you are in Indiana or at least near Mooresville; this is the place that will carry it!

I like Kent feed too and am disapointed that Tractor Supply quit carrying it. It's good stuff. Used to buy it all the time there. I go to Mills fleet farm and buy their Sprout Meat Maker 21% protein feed. Like Kent, it has animal protein in it. At $11.00 a 50 pound bag it's pretty good feed that I've been happy with.

Glad you are happy with a feed you like, that's how we feel about Kent!! Keep buying the brand you like, make calls if you can't find it!!

Kent/Blue Seal, same thing different parts of the country. LOVE IT!!!! I've always used Blue Seal for all of my horses and it was just natural that I use it for my chickens, and all I can say is it rocks! Never had a soft shelled egg, and the feathers are gorgeous. Good stuff!

Glad to hear you had a good experience too!!

Kent and Evergreen are also the same feed I believe. We have a few stores here that carry it, but they didn't seem very knowledgeable about it nor terribly interested in ordering it in for me when I looked into it (wanted the Multi-Flock). I would love to try it out though. I have heard it has animal protein in it. Is this true?
